SOLEDAD, Calif. — A bus carrying French tourists overturned on a central California highway overpass Tuesday afternoon, killing at least five and injuring dozens of others, authorities said.
The crash happened on U.S. 101 in Soledad, about 70 miles southeast of San Jose.
There were 36 passengers and one driver on the tour bus at the time. Three people died at the scene and two were later declared dead at hospitals, said a Monterey County Office of Emergency Services spokeswoman.
