DENVER—A House committee on Thursday will take up a plan that would ask voters to change the way Colorado redraws congressional and legislative districts.
Backers want it in place before the next go-round after the 2010 federal census.
Some lawmakers say they want to give the job to a bipartisan panel to reduce the political fight that tied up the state’s last attempt for years.
The hearing was scheduled for Tuesday in the House State Veterans and Military Affairs Committee but was postponed because of a full House calendar.
