The two motorists killed Tuesday morning in a Weld County accident have been identified as Bruce A. Patterson, 53, of Longmont and James R. Matthews, 52, of Buena Vista.
Authorities said they died after a 2006 Honda CR-V driven by Nellie C. Townsend, 19, of Westminster slammed into the rear of Patterson’s Ford Escort in the eastbound lane of Colorado 66, about 2 miles east of Mead on Tuesday morning.
