GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—The Colorado State Patrol says a Grand Junction woman is dead after she crashed her motorcycle west of Delta.
Fifty-three-year-old Sheryl Williams was eastbound on Highway 50 when she lost control on a curve, struck a guardrail and was thrown from her bike late Wednesday.
Trooper Gilbert Mares says Williams was taken to Delta County Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The patrol says Williams was wearing eye protection and a helmet, and speed is not considered a factor in the crash.
