A man armed with a hypodermic needle held up the Pine River Valley Bank in Durango this afternoon, police said.
The short, slight, olive-skinned man in his early 20s was wearing thick, black-framed sunglasses when he passed a note to a teller at about 1:30 p.m. He revealed the needle in his other hand, according to police.
He took an undisclosed amount of cash in a dark-colored bag and walked away from the bank at 1701 Main St.
The robber was about 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds. He had short brown hair and wore a bright-blue cap with an emblem on the front; a dark, long-sleeved shirt; and blue jeans, police said.
