NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PEDIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONERS: The Colorado chapter honored Lynn Gilbert, an associate professor at University of Colorado Denver College of Nursing, with the Pioneer Award for her contribution to pediatric health care and the advancement of the profession of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners at the local and national level.
MODERN HEALTHCARE: Named Dr. Patricia Gabow, chief executive of Denver Health, to its list of Top 25 Women in Healthcare. Gabow is the only Coloradan named to the list, published in the April 20 edition of the magazine.

The honorees were David DiLaura, a retired CU-Boulder professor who specialized in lighting engineering; Dayl Larson, a retired architect with H&L Architecture; Kenneth May, director of the industrial division at Abengoa Solar; Kile Morgan, chairman of Ponderosa Homes; Theodore Randolph, a CU-Boulder professor of chemical and biological engineering; and Nguyen Vinh, a professor of aerospace engineering at the University of Michigan.
