Denver Police were busy tonight containing a volatile Cinco de Mayo scene along South Federal Boulevard, rushing to reports of fights and or incidents of drunken behavior, including domestic disturbances.
Traffic kept moving for the most part as police blocked off some side streets between Alameda Boulevard and 8th Avenue. Revelers cruised, paraded and partied along Federal as occasional fireworks popped. Some people waved Mexican flags. A police helicopter circled overhead shining a spotlight down on possible incidents of concern.
