DENVER—The University of Denver says an assistant professor at the school’s Sturm College of Law has died of injuries from what police are investigating as a bicycle accident.
Police say Erik Bluemel crashed his bicycle under a bridge at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday downtown. The university said he died Wednesday.
Bluemel started working at DU last fall for the 2008-09 academic year.
