ORLANDO, Fla.—Saturday’s Powerball jackpot will be worth an estimated $109 million since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 7, 8, 12, 22 and 31. The Powerball was 18 and the multiplier was 5.
Tickets matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $94.7 million jackpot.
Two Power Play tickets sold in Louisiana and Rhode Island matched the first five numbers only to win $1 million each. Colorado’s top prize was $500 apiece for 53 Power Play tickets that matched other number combinations, Colorado Lottery officials said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
