Confirmed cases of swine flu in Colorado rose to 25 Thursday, including a student at a Cherry Creek middle school.

Only one of Colorado’s swine-flu victims is known to have been hospitalized, state health officials said. He is recovering at home.

Nine of the victims are 17 or younger, according to the state Department of Public Health and Environment.

The cases include six in Arapahoe County, four in Adams County, four in Jefferson County, three in Denver County, three in Eagle County, two in Garfield County and one each in Douglas, Boulder and Fremont counties.

The latest confirmations include a student at West Middle School in Cherry Creek.

The school was already scheduled to be closed today and will reopen Monday, district officials said.
