Modern architecture is at the heart of Historic Boulder’s 2009 Landmarks of the Future Tour happening today and Sunday. The tour includes a classic modern organic home designed in the 1960s, a cutting-edge newly completed home and developer-designed houses. Tickets are $12-$15 from Historic Boulder (1123 Spruce St., 303-444-5192); the Boulder Book Store (1107 Pearl St., 303-447-2074); Timbalier (95th Street and Arapahoe Road, Lafayette, 303-666-4200), West End Gardener (777 Pearl St., 303-938-0607); Page Two (6565 Gunpark Drive, Gunbarrel, 303-530-3339); and Boulder-area King Soopers stores.

Today is also the second day of Kitchens on Fire. This annual fundraiser for the Dairy Center for the Arts is a self-guided tour of innovative and cutting-edge Boulder kitchens. Tickets are $20.
