COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police say an officer fatally shot a man suspected of breaking into a home.
Police say the shooting happened after a family reported that someone had broken into their garage and into their car. Police say the officer who arrived saw two men in the garage and started shooting, hitting one of the suspects Sunday morning. He died at the home.
Police did not say whether either man was armed. Their names were not immediately known.
Police say they arrested the second suspect nearby after he ran away.
