GOLDEN — Police officers say the car of a campus supervisor at a local high school was doused with gasoline and set on fire Thursday morning.

No one was hurt in the incident about 9:30 a.m. at Golden High School. Golden police told 9News that the suspects used a device similar to a Molotov cocktail to start the fire.

“I just saw everybody run to the parking lot, saying, ‘What’s going on?’ ” student Danielle Aten told the TV station. The car belonged to a staff member who helps with school security.

“He deals with discipline in the high school all day, every day. That’s his job. Somebody may be angry at him. We don’t know,” said Jeff Hesalroad, Golden police spokesman.

Police are looking for two suspects. Anyone with information should contact the police.
