VENTURA, Calif. — An intruder dressed in black and wearing a motorcycle helmet barged into a Southern California beach home and stabbed a pregnant woman and her husband to death as their two children were in other rooms, authorities said Thursday.
The two children were not injured in the attack late Tuesday. The 9-year-old boy ran to another part of the house after he first saw the intruder, and later found his parents’ bodies. His sister, 11, was asleep in another room, authorities said.
Davina and Brock Husted, both 42, were both slain. Davina Husted was five months pregnant. Investigators believe the killer was not known to the family.
