COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Prosecutors haven’t decided yet whether a 13-year-old Colorado Springs boy will be charged as an adult in the fatal shooting of his 9-year-old brother and the shooting and stabbing of their mother.
Daniel Gudino was being held without bond. Prosecutors on Friday asked for more time to consult with the Gudino family before deciding on the charges.
Gudino was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and attempted murder Monday following an attack that killed his brother, Ulysses, and injured their 38-year-old mother, Marina.
A 7-year-old sister wasn’t hurt. Gudino’s father and a 12-year-old brother weren’t home at the time.
Both of the boy’s parents were in court Friday but left without commenting.
