ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Searchers have found no sign of a Colorado man missing on a solo climb of Mount McKinley.
Clear weather Saturday allowed searchers in airplanes their first good look for 41-year-old Gerald Myers of Centennial, in areas of North America’s tallest mountain that have been obscured by clouds.
Initial reports put Myers near the 20,320-feet summit on Wednesday, but rangers now believe that was another climber wearing similar colors.
Rangers believe Myers was last seen Tuesday traveling along the West Buttress above 17,000 feet.
Denali National Park spokeswoman Maureen McLaughlin said the search will continue today.
