Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two men in the shooting late Friday night of two other men in a Grand Junction home, authorities say.

The victims, Clinton Waters, 24, and Anthony Garcia, 36, were rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital, each with multiple gunshot wounds, said Chuck Warner, spokesman for the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.

Waters was shot three times in the abdomen and was listed in critical condition. Garcia was shot in his left leg near the groin and on the right side of his ribcage and was listed in stable condition.

Police were called to 297 Boston Lane at 10:09 p.m. after a neighbor heard gunshots, a police report stated.

A sheriff’s deputy found a cellphone near the home where the shootings occurred and traced the phone as being registered to one of the alleged assailants, Tommy Perez, 25, of Parachute. Records show four calls made from that phone to Waters the day of the assault. Perez and his brother, Joshua Perez, 22, were both arrested.
