PUEBLO, Colo.—Natural gas supplies to Walsenburg and Aguilar might not be restored until Tuesday while crews repair a pipeline that burst after heavy rains.

Nearly 5 inches of rain caused the pipeline to burst Thursday afternoon, and emergency officials turned off the natural gas supply.

Walsenburg City Manager Alan Hein said Friday that a private contractor repairing the line estimates it could take at least two to three days to complete work.

Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center Administrator Todd Oberheu says the hospital is running on a backup system.
