BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Broomfield police say a husband and wife were shot and killed amid a domestic violence incident, but details remain sketchy.
Sgt. Mark Goodell says police gunfire killed the 58-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene late Sunday. The Boulder Daily Camera and The Denver Post are reporting that police say the man is suspected of shooting his 50-year-old wife, who later died at St. Anthony Central Hospital. Police have not said whether she was shot before or after officers arrived.
The couple’s names haven’t been released.
Goodell says the man fired a weapon several times, but he declined to say how many shots he fired or whether he was aiming at police.
An investigation is under way.
