COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A man recently released from a Texas prison has been arrested in Colorado Springs after he allegedly threatened a man with a handgun.
Authorities say 28-year-old George R. Moncada menaced a patron at Good Company restaurant and bar shortly after midnight Tuesday. Officers responded and spotted Moncada outside the building, where he allegedly removed the magazine from a .40 caliber Glock handgun, tossed both and ran into the back of the restaurant.
Two employees held down Moncada until officers got inside.
Police arrested Moncada on suspicion of menacing with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
It wasn’t immediately clear why Moncada had been in prison or for how long.
His hometown wasn’t available.
