Brad Hawpe’s cringe extended beyond an embarrassing play in the outfield Monday. He injured his groin earlier in the game, and did not start Tuesday. It isn’t considered a disabled list issue at this point.

Juan Pierre, Manny Ramirez’s replacement, tripled for the second straight game. He has hit safely in 20-of-22 starts this season.
Helton returns.
Todd Helton felt much better, his migraine symptoms gone. “The more I moved around (Monday), the worse it got,” he said. Helton struck out three of his first four at bats, but singled in the sixth.
