The search for an angler presumed drowned in an Adams County reservoir has been suspended.

Troy Aurer, 43, was fishing Sunday afternoon with family members at Horse Creek Reservoir when he jumped out of the boat to retrieve a fishing road that fell into the water, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. Aurer was not able to make it back into the boat.

Authorities combed the 700-acre reservoir Sunday and Monday but did not find his body. The reservoir is up to 32 feet deep in spots.

The search was suspended Monday night, said Candi Baker, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
