The Colorado Springs-based Space Foundation has praised the Obama administration nominations of retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Charles Bolden and Lori Garver, former NASA associate administrator of policy and plans, as NASA administrator and deputy administrator, respectively.
Bolden is a “true American hero who brings deep NASA knowledge and experience and unsurpassed leadership skills” and Garver is an “experienced space policy professional with significant previous NASA experience,” foundation chief executive Elliot Pulham said Tuesday.
