DENVER—A former Denver charter school worker has been charged with sexually assaulting a grade-school student.
Denver prosecutors said Thursday that 47-year-old Victor Ware is accused of sexually assaulting a student at Challenges, Choices and Images charter school between September 2007 and January 2008. Investigators say he was in charge of security.
He was charged Wednesday with two counts of sexual assault on a child, three counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, and sexual assault on a child, pattern of abuse.
Ware is free on $50,000 bond. He did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment. He is scheduled to be advised of the charges June 2.
