CENTENNIAL — A standoff ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon in Centennial when a man surrendered to SWAT officers.
The incident began shortly after 11 a.m. when the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office got a report of shots being fired in the 20300 block of East Powers Place Road. When police arrived, an 18-year- old man told police that at least two shots had been fired at him by another 18-year-old.
Unsuccessful attempts were made to contact anyone inside the house. After an arrest warrant was obtained, the SWAT officers were joined by the Aurora Police Department Bear armored vehicle.
Another phone call was made to the house, and this time a man inside, identified as Franklin Brandon, answered and agreed to surrender.
Brandon faces a charge of attempted murder, police said.
