A murder warrant has been issued for a 20-year-old man in the death early Friday of a security guard at El Chaparral Night Club. Heber Santiago Godoy is sought for investigation of homicide in the death of one security officer and attempted murder in the wounding of a second officer, said Detective Sharon Avendaño, Denver police spokeswoman.
Police on Wednesday arrested David Cano-Rivera, 21, for investigation of accessory to murder in connection with the killing at the club, at 2727 W. Sixth Ave.
The security guards were shot at 12:54 a.m. as they tried to remove several people from the west Denver nightclub. Police have not released the names of the two victims.
