DENVER—Authorities have identified a man who died of injuries suffered in an Aurora apartment fire as 52-year-old Jose De Jesus Martinez.
Aurora police say he died Sunday at a hospital, three days after the blaze that investigators say was arson.
Officers arrested 21-year-old Coy Thomas Marty Dunn and 34-year-old Douglas Taylor Jr. late Friday in Commerce City in connection with the fire.
Police haven’t said what led them to Dunn and Taylor, but did say they believe the intended targets of the pair escaped unharmed and that neither Martinez nor two injured people had anything to do with the motive.
Dunn and Taylor face charges of first-degree murder and arson.
Police have not announced a possible motive.
