Arrivals at Denver International Airport were on time 82.67 percent in May, putting it in the middle of the pack of the 50 largest North American airports.
reports that DIA improved on its overall 2008 on-time arrival performance of 76.96 percent.

The top airport was Salt Lake City, with 90.74 percent of flights arriving on time, followed by Houston at 88.11 percent and Oakland at 87.23 percent. New York’s LaGuardia scored last at 59.54 percent.

The overall total for the top 50 airports was 78.43 percent.

DIA’s largest airline, United, had 80.07 percent of its flights arriving on time in May. In 2008, United’s overall on-time arrival rate was 71.28 percent.

The No. 2 airline, Frontier, was on time 85.48 percent of the time. In 2008, it was 83.35 percent.

Southwest Airlines flights were on time 84.10 percent in May, a change from 81.24 percent in 2008.

The overall airline total was 79.82 percent in May.
