5. The team will do a brisk business at the box office. No surprise there. Nothing says “Whoa, where do I get season tickets?” quite like hiring Joe Sacco.
4. Every time the Avs lose back-to-back games, a reporter in Quebec will call Patrick Roy, below, to see if he just booked a flight to Denver.
3. Ian Laperriere will turn up what’s left of his nose at the Avs’ contract offer.
2. The Avs will replace the usual heavy metal at the Pepsi Center in favor of the team’s new theme song, “The Way We Were.”
