BOULDER, Colo.—A small group of climbers has begun looking for three men who are overdue from a climb in an isolated, rugged part of China.
Friends say 35-year-old Jonny Copp and 30-year-old Micah Dash of Boulder, Colo., and 24-year-old Wade Johnson of Arden Hills, Minn., had planned to climb Mount Edgar. Johnson was working for Boulder-based Sender Films.
The three men were scheduled to take a flight Tuesday out of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, but missed it.
They were last heard from May 20 at the base camp of Mount Edgar. Robb Shurr, a spokesman for the search effort, says a search party arrived at the camp late Thursday.
The search party was organized by the Sichuan Mountaineering Association.
