DENVER—A gay escort faces life in prison after being convicted of killing one of his clients.
A Denver jury took five hours to return guilty verdicts against Timothy “John” Boham on Monday in the killing of J.P. Kelso, a wealthy businessman.
They convicted Boham of first-degree murder after deliberation, first-degree felony murder and aggravated robbery. He is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday.
Boham is a former porn actor who also once worked for Kelso at his debt-collection agency.
Boham’s lawyers argued that Kelso shot himself because he was depressed over failed relationships.
Prosecutors said Boham tried to rob Kelso and shot Kelso when he refused to open his safe.
