Passenger traffic declined in April at Denver International Airport.

The rate of the decrease was smaller than in February and March, DIA officials reported today. The passenger total for April was 3,941,539, a drop of 3.3 percent from the 4,078,112 travelers recorded during April 2008.

The April total raised DIA’s year-to-date passenger count to 15,436,572, which was 5.1 percent below the 16,270,649 travelers during the first four months of 2008.

DIA’s passenger traffic has declined in six out of the last seven months. December’s count was the exception, rising 4.8 percent above the same period in 2007.
