The contract between Xcel Energy and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 111 in Denver expired May 31, and negotiations are continuing, said Xcel spokesman Joe Fuentes.
The talks are taking place under the “public-interest clause” which precludes strikes or lockouts, a union spokesman said.
