Cool for cats

The Dumb Friends League has two new offerings for cat lovers. Kitten Kindergarten, happening monthly through October, gives pint-size felines the chance to explore, play with other kittens and interact with new people. The cost is $30. And the Cat Behavior Workshop is a one-time session that covers litter-box problem prevention, destructive scratching prevention, toys and activities, and typical cat behavior issues. Ready, set, design!

Mod Livin’ is mounting a series of exhibits later this summer that will highlight local modern artists and housewares designers. The program, “Denver by Design,” will include a juried competition to select the best original, locally designed object, art or furniture. The store’s owners say the goal of the program is twofold: to spotlight up-and-coming talent in Colorado, and to showcase the influence of modernism in our society.
