BOULDER, Colo.—The nude bikers in Boulder covered up just enough to avoid running afoul of the law.

About 35 people who rode in Saturday’s World Naked Bike Ride covered their genitals after police warned they’d issue indencent exposure tickets for riders completely in the buff. Police warned that naked riders could end up facing a sex offense charge.

So the bikers employed some creative methods to avoid tickets. Some wore thongs or placed stickers in strategic places. No indencent exposure tickets were issued, and police praised the bikers for cooperating.

Nude bike rides were held worldwide Saturday to draw attention to dependence on cars and gasoline.
