DENVER—Denver police say they have a suspect in the death of a 49-year-old woman who allegedly was deliberately hit with a car in the parking lot of a Burger King last month.

Police say they have a warrant for 26-year-old Nadine Montoya for investigation of first-degree murder in the death of Lilian Verdonkschot. Police say Montoya also goes by the name Nadine Carter.

Authorities say the driver who hit Verdonkschot fled from the scene. Police say the car involved in the hit-and-run was later found in Boulder County.

Police first suspected 23-year-old Dawn Marie Gonzales in the death, but days after they arrested her she was released and no charges were filed.
