DENVER—Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry has announced his picks to serve on an interim legislative committee that will scrutinize the policies governing the state’s budget process.
Penry, a Grand Junction Republican, on Wednesday named Weld County Commissioner Sean Conway, Denver-area businessman Jonathan Coors and Republican state Sen. Greg Brophy, a Wray farmer, to the Interim Commission to Study Long-term Fiscal Stability.
The 14-member, bipartisan commission will examine the long-term fiscal stability of the state, including long-term funding for higher education and transportation funding as well as affordable access to health care over the summer.
