GREELEY — A 41-year-old man was injured Thursday night by a lightning strike on a golf course.
The Union Colony Fire Department said the man, who was not identified, was playing at the Boomerang Golf Links in Greeley about 7:30 p.m. He was at the 13th hole when lightning struck in the area.
Witnesses say the man was having trouble breathing, but paramedics said he was alert and conscious when they arrived. He was taken to the Northern Colorado Medical Center for treatment.
