BROOMFIELD — Pathologists could not determine a specific cause of death for the Broomfield girl whose body was found in a ditch in January, according to an autopsy report released this week.
Kelsey Shannon, 13, died of “homicidal violence,” the Adams County Coroner’s Office found.
No drugs were found in her body, which was badly decomposed and had been scavenged by animals, the autopsy said.
Kelsey’s boyfriend, 18-year-old Alex Pacheco of Broomfield, is charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and child abuse resulting in death.
