BOULDER, Colo.—A Boulder County man convicted of criminally negligent child abuse in the death of his infant son will serve his 16-year prison sentence at the Fort Lyon Correctional Facility east of Pueblo.
Alex Midyette will serve his time about 90 miles from the prison where his wife, 30-year-old Molly Midyette, is serving 16 years for her part in their son’s death. She is in the La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo.
The two, formerly of Louisville, were convicted separately for not getting medical help in time to save their 11-week-old son, Jason. The infant died in 2006 with multiple broken bones and a skull fracture.
Alex Midyette, who turned 30 five days ago, was sentenced in May. Molly Midyette was sentenced in April.
