AURORA, Colo.—Aurora police are investigating felony menacing allegations against a Denver police officer stemming from an incident at a McDonald’s restaurant.
Aurora police began investigating after a complaint from an employee at the restaurant. Police say the incident occurred at 3:20 a.m. on May 21.
The officer’s name hasn’t been released because no charges have been filed. The officer hasn’t been arrested.
No other details have been made public.
It’s up to the Arapahoe County district attorney’s office to decide whether the officer should be charged. Police submitted the case to prosecutors on Friday but they asked police to do additional investigation. The district attorney’s office expects to get the case back next week.
