BOULDER, Colo.—A Boulder day care is facing a state investigation after a 2-year-old boy wandered off and was found wandering the streets.

Police say the toddler wandered away Thursday morning from Saffron School, an in-home day care. A jogger discovered the boy crying on the side of the road and called police. He was returned safely.

The school’s owner and director, Margarita Anselim-Neuman, called the boy’s parents but declined to comment to the Daily Camera newspaper on the case. The Colorado Department of Human Services and a county agency are investigating the day care.
