COLORADO SPRINGS — The University of Colorado will spend more than $50 million for a new computer system to store student information.
The school has used its current information system for 20 years. CU regents are getting an update on the project at their meeting in Colorado Springs on Monday.
The new system will serve than 60,000 students at all CU campuses. Students can use the system to register for classes or track tuition payments. Oracle will create the new system under a bid granted in 2007. Officials say the cost is in line with other state universities with multiple campuses.
