An elderly Denver woman continued to recover at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver on Sunday after a near-drowning in the South Platte River the day before.
Authorities are not likely to release further information about the woman, including her name and age, because it’s not a criminal matter, said Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
Denver firefighters pulled the woman from the fast-flowing river about 1 p.m. Saturday and revived her with CPR.
Witnesses saw the woman push a walker into the fast-flowing river near Interstate 25.
