
Sunday was the first day of summer, and this week’s weather around the state should feel like it.
Hot, dry weather has moved into Colorado, and Denver’s high temperatures should climb into the 90s all week long, according to the National Weather Service.
Today’s high temperature in Denver is expected to be 92 degrees, the Weather Service said. The normal high for Denver on this date is 85 degrees.
Denver should bask under sunny skies today after a long string of cloudy and wet weather.
Afternoon thunderstorms — a 20 percent chance — move back into the Denver forecast on Tuesday , with a 30 percent chance for thunderstorms Wednesday.
Friday should be the hottest day of the week in Denver, with a high of 94 degrees, the Weather Service said.
Highs in parts of the Colorado mountains this week should be in the upper 70s, the Weather Service reports, and Vail could hit the 80-degree mark on Wednesday.
