PUEBLO — A second man has been arrested in a beating and robbery that left a Wal-Mart clerk hospitalized.
Akeem Ali Thomas, 25, walked into the Pueblo Police Department Monday and turned himself in to face a charge of aggravated robbery.
Thomas is suspected of driving two other men to and from a Wal-Mart at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Those men, who police identified as Omar Griffin-Belhac, 21, of Colorado Springs and Rashad Wilson, 22, of Fountain, asked to see the store’s iPod display and then attacked the 66-year-old clerk before stealing items, according to police.
Griffin-Belhac is being held on $250,000 bail on suspicion of aggravated robbery of an at-risk adult. Wilson is still being sought.
The clerk suffered broken eye sockets, nose, jaw and other facial bones.
