Dan Laperriere was named assistant coach of the Lake Erie Monsters, the Avalanche’s American Hockey League affiliate.
Laperriere, 40, was most recently an assistant coach for the Central Hockey League’s Arizona Sundogs. He made his NHL debut in the 1992-1993 season for the St. Louis Blues. During his four-year career, Laperriere also played for the Ottowa Senators.
Laperriere is the son of Jacques Laperriere, a hockey hall-of-famer.
