Even Todd Helton couldn’t escape clean from Wednesday night’s oil spill. The Rockies first baseman committed his second error of the season and first since May 9, mishandling a groundball by Erick Aybar in the fourth inning. Manager Jim Tracy admitted it’s hard to rest Helton unless absolutely necessary because of the veteran’s outstanding defense.
