You couldn’t help wonder what A’s left fielder Matt Holliday was thinking as he watched his former Rockies teammates sweep through Oakland. Holliday, the subject of trade speculation, went 1-for-4 on Sunday and has hit safety in his last six games at a .333 clip (7-for-21). During the weekend series against the Rockies, he was 4-for-10 with two doubles, no RBIs and no runs scored.

Seth Smith, the designated hitter Sunday, went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in the second. Smith has a six-game hitting streak, during which he is batting .467 (7-for-15).
Interleague.
The Rockies’ 11-4 record in interleague play was the best in the National League.
