Former U.S. Rep. Scott McInnis, a Grand Junction Republican, on Wednesday filed papers with the Colorado secretary of state’s office creating a campaign committee for his 2010 gubernatorial bid.
He said his first donor was Harold Piper, a businessman from Rifle who has been the first contributor to each of McInnis’ campaigns.
